The “imporant” songs, what do you think?

Ello Ello!

So I am getting married on June 27th (only 3 months to go) and I am trying to work on the music for the wedding, since that is supposed to be a "fun" thing even though sometimes it’s not!…

Anyway, here is what I am thinking….

Wedding Party is walking to "Don’t Fear the Reaper" by teh Blue Oyster Cult (hilarious right?)…I just picked this, so if anyone has similar ideas feel free to shoot em over.

I am walking to "Kashmir" from Led Zeppelin, words and all. I picked it all by myself and it is set in stone!

We are leaving the ceremony to "You’re my best friend" by Queen, that one is for sure as well.

Do all weddings have an "entrance song" for the reception? I dont have a DJ, I just have my ipod and the hookups so I dont know if I should designate someone, or if it’s really neccesary to have?

Father/Daughter Dance: Either "You are so beautiful to me" – Joe Cocker, oorrr "She" – Elvis Costello. Which one is better??

First Dance will FOR SURE at (c)
least start with "Unchained Melody" cause it’s my favorite "Oldie" but I hate dancing so I want to cut into something funny (I know this is popular) but I just want to shake it for a min, bow and run away….I was thinking "Sexy Thing" from Hot Chocolate. Haha, any similar suggestions??

That’s all I really need for the must have’s right? Any suggestions are welcome, thanks!!!!
"Unchained Melodyy" from the Righteous Brothers….cause no one else compares, come on :o)

    1. I’m not a fan of the standard wedding songs either….. When we get married in May, and my future hubby is standing in front of everyone alone waiting for me, I’m having the DJ play "Pressure" by Queen w/ David Bowie.

We are also using "You’re My Best Friend", but as we are announced husband and wife. Either that or "Let my Love Open the Door" by Pete Townsend.

I’d like to use the opening music from Metallica’s "Enter Sandman" when I’m on my way to walking up the aisle, but I’ll see how that goes!

For the father/daughter dance, we’re using "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw. I’m also going to dance with my stepfather, and for that I want to use "She" by Elvis Costello. Awesome song!
